Hi there, welcome.

I grow and create from a little patch of land in the Dyfi Valley, here in beautiful mid Wales. The garden and studio are closely intertwined, and the making process begins months before there are dried flowers ready to work with. It starts in early spring, when the garden is still, and I begin choosing what to grow for the year ahead. What grows becomes part of the work that follows, a co-creation with nature.

I’m passionate about a more circular way of making, striving for "closed loop" systems. Creating things that can eventually return to the earth.
Wreaths and bouquets are fully home compostable, while larger pieces are made using reusable mechanics, allowing them to be taken apart and made again...

Earth friendly floral design

In my work I avoid floral foam, glues, single-use plastics, dyes, sprays and bleached stems. Nature provides such an abundance of colour, texture, form and interest, I can't see any what it can be improved!
My bouquets are finished with acid-free paper and natural jute twine, while my wreaths are secured with natural materials, making them home compostable. Long before I became interested in cut flowers I was passionate about closed loop systems within my veg growing spaces. Exploring how I can carry that across to flowers and how I work with them creatively, feels really exciting.

The majority of the botanicals I work with are grown and dried by me or sourced from British growers. Each arrangement is designed to last, with consideration given to the materials used throughout its life cycle.

installations for spaces and events

I am especially passionate about creating site responsive installations for shop windows, businesses, interiors, weddings and events. Working with flowers in their dried form gives me the oppertunity to create sculptural pieces that respond to the character of each space. I've worked on shop window displays, installations for musical performances, pieces for galleries and private clients.
As seasons change and individual elements naturally soften, I offer seasonal refreshes to restore, adapt and evolve existing installations rather than replacing, thus allowing each piece to continue growing with the space it inhabits.

Floral art

Working with materials I have grown, gathered and preserved myself, I create pieces in response to the spaces they inhabit — celebrating the textures, structures and wiggly lines found in nature. One day I hope to have the opportunity to create pieces on a scale much larger than I have to date...
